This page has been created to answer all of your FAQs regarding how we are operating under the new restrictions to ensure that everyone is safe.

What happens if we cancel the camp due to a government lockdown?

In the event of a lockdown whereby we have to cancel our camp you will be notified as early as possible via email. We will provide you with credit or a full refund if we cancel our camp owing to a COVID lockdown.

What happens to my booking if my child cannot attend due to isolation requirements?

In all isolation circumstances we will offer you full credit for the days not attending for use at a future camp period.

What if I cancel?

If you cancel your own camp space then we will follow our own terms and conditions with regards to your credit or refund

How many children will be in each bubble?

We are an OFSTED registered childcare provider so following current guidance it recommends us to operate in consistent Group Bubbles of no more than 15 children.

Our maximum group bubble size is 15 but wherever possible we will try to group children into the smallest bubble size possible.

You are not committed to attend all week however we are not able to reduce the price for the week charge as we will not fill the space that your child doesn’t attend. If you choose not to attend any days booked, please inform us for registration purposes.

Can I select who is in my child's bubble?

We do our very best to accommodate all requests. We also need to take into account the child’s age, their sibling/relative bubble, their friendship groups and therefore we cannot guarantee that all requests can be met but we will do our very best. Groups will be set 3 days before the camp commences.

Can I book less days?

At this time, in order to avoid a different mix of children attending each day and so that we are able to offer a safe environment for the children we are only offering full week bookings at this time.

Do I have to attend all week?

You are not committed to attend all week however we are not able to reduce the price for the week charge as we will not fill the space that your child doesn’t attend. If you choose not to attend any days booked, please inform us for registration purposes.

Will staff be wearing masks?

Public Health England (PHE) does not recommend the use of facemasks in our setting as children and staff are mixing in consistent groups, much like school.

Our staff will have full PPE upon sign in and sign out and visors are worn throughout the day so that children are welcomed all day.

Does my child have to wear a mask?

Again, this is not necessary upon the advise of PHE but if you wish for your child to wear a mask this will be permitted and we will advise your child of our procedures at the beginning of camp.

What time will I need to drop off and collect my child?

Camp registration is at 9am. Please arrive with your child at this time for drop off. You will be provided with your child’s bubble number and your corresponding collection time at drop off on your first day. We will be following a staggered collection time procedure to allow for a safer environment for everyone.

Will children's temperatures be checked?

Upon drop off, every day, every child’s temperature will be taken with their parent/guardian present.

What if my child is showing COVID symptoms?

We advise that your child should NOT attend camp if they have any symptoms of COVID and we would need to be informed if this is the case. We would encourage you to receive a test for your child during this time.

Your child should not attend camp if they have had contact with someone who has tested positive or shown symptoms of COVID-19 in the 10 days prior to camp.

What if someone in my household tests positive for coronavirus?

In the case of your child or a household member receiving a positive test result for Coronavirus, you must inform us immediately. The local Public Health team can work with us to establish who the ‘close contacts’ are and all parents from your child’s camp bubble will be notified. PHE (NHS Track & Trace) will then take the lead in contacting anybody concerned, asking them to isolate for 14 days. Whoever has tested positive will need to self-isolate for 10 days, and the rest of their household for 14 days.

What are the procedures if someone in my child's bubble receives a positive test result?

In the case of a child receiving a positive test result, all children within this bubble will be asked to refrain from attending camp until PHE have informed anybody considered to be a ‘close contact’.
NHS Track & Trace may advise that if you or your child has been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for Coronavirus to isolate for 10 days from the day that they were last in contact with that person.
People who live in the same household or are part of the same support bubble do not need to isolate so long as the individual who has been asked to isolate does not have any symptoms.

What measures will be taken during the camp to ensure that my child is safe?

All our enrolled children will be placed into bubbles that they will remain in all week. Children will all have their own desks and seat all week and all their belongings will be kept with them at their stations throughout the week. Packed lunches will also be eaten at their desks and they will be asked to wash their hands regularly. We provide hand sanitiser that is available for use all day. One way systems are encouraged within our camp premises area and staggered breaks are taken during the day from the other bubbles. Equipment is NOT shared and each child will have their own equipment to work with. This equipment will be cleaned between usage and their stations are also cleaned regularly through each day.

Do you provide food for my child?

We will not be providing any food or beverages for your child so please ensure that your child brings with them a NUT FREE packed lunch, adequate drink for the day and snacks if you wish.

Will my child be allowed to play outside safely?

We encourage all children in each bubble to play outside during the morning break, lunch and afternoon break. We set up obstacle courses and non-contact sport activities for them to participate in and definitely encourage a good run around! Please provide your child with weather appropriate clothing for outdoor activity. Please be aware that all our locations have different outside settings and we therefore cannot guarantee that their clothing will not get muddy so please ensure that they are not dressed in their best clothes for camp.
